Who Can Know?

As I lifted my heavy arms and dusted off my guitar once again to practice for our Young Adults' Retreat starting tomorrow, I looked through some of the songs in my PC. I found a song that I really liked, which never fails to move me. Once again, I put my small life and everything around me in the perspective of my great Creator, the Alpha and Omega.

Watch and listen to the song from YouTube, played during a Soul Survivor event in the UK.

I Stand In Awe - Martyn Layzell

Who can know the mind of our Creator?
Who can speak of wonders yet unseen?
Who can reach the heights of understanding
To play the notes of Wisdom's melody?

Who has weighed the dust of every mountain?
Who has walked the mysteries of the deep?
Who has laid the earth on its foundation?
And who conducts the waves upon the sea?

I stand in awe of You
I stand in awe of You
So glorious and true
I stand in awe
I stand in awe

You have seen the end from the beginning
You have been before the world began
You have reached to me within my darkness
And in the light of mercy now I see

I stand in awe of You
I stand in awe of You
So glorious and true
I stand in awe
I stand in awe

I read something today. Because of what I've been through lately, that sentence hit me like a ton of bricks:

God's plan is not negotiable. Someone once told us, "If you want to make God laugh, share with him 'your' plan."

If that is true, God must have been laughing all my life.
