I can't believe it!
Those who know me, know that my birthday falls on the "sam-pat" (cantonese three-eight sounds like "live" and "prosper". For hokkiens, sounds like sampat!). But my sister chose that Saturday for her wedding.
It's ok, I've a bigger occasion to celebrate this year, I thought.
Not until I read the news today. The polling date is on March 8. That means all my family members, many relatives and friends won't be able to vote! Don't know how this will affect the wedding, or the polling result. Sigh.
Is this sam-pat date so auspicious? Why does everyone has to choose this date? Ya, why did I choose to come out on that day?
My birthday wish this year? Too early, but it'll be one for my family, one for the nation. Boleh kah?
